Over time, battery connectors corrode and need to be replaced. Most people aren't aware of this that the battery cables are supposed to be replaced every few years as corrosion can build up under the terminals eventually eroding the connectors.
Especially if your car has been sitting for long periods due to the pandemic, you may need to take a look at your battery terminals.
Replacing it can be done from home with ease with this great set of terminals. Although you need to be extra careful in bolting these down as they’ll warp or crack if you are abusing them. The idea is to do it slowly the first time you attach them.
Another thing to note is that these are designed for single wire clamping. So if you need two or more wires to clamp into this, be prepared to fight with them a bit to keep them lined up and centered in the "grooves" under that top plate.
Overall I can say that even though they are not the ‘gold standard’, they do a great job. And the low cost makes it affordable for anyone to make an easy repair without breaking the budget.
